Reports to: Store Manager
Objective
Achieve the Anthropologie mission - to create an unimagined experience. Consistently meet or exceed the
financial, operational, and visual expectations of the company.
Presentation
Partner with the Store Manager and Visual Manager in planning, scheduling and executing an innovative
visual environment
Utilize and manage the use of weekly sales reports to track, analyze and communicate business results and determine department strategies to maximize sales
Partner with the Visual Manager and Store Manager to plan and participate in a weekly merchant day
Determine regional customer distinctions allowing appropriate reaction to individual trends in business
Manage and supervise Assistant Department Sales Manager in managing merchandising, product, cleanliness and placement standards
People
Manage and motivate a high level of customer care
Manage and motivate the level of floor supervision (MOD and CCOD)
Manage and motivate the store team by providing a positive leadership example
Manage, develop and train the Assistant Department Sales Manager position
Partner with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager (if applicable) to
hiring
Serve as a proactive mentor, teacher and problem solver
Utilize MDP and all available training tools to provide consistent training to Assistant Department Managers and staff
Conduct monthly one on ones with Assistant Department Sales Manager
Administer performance appraisals and goals to Assistant Department Sales Manager
Process
Adhere to all typical day/week/stock/Monday guidelines
Train Assistant Department Sales Manager to have high standard for operations and loss prevention
Facilitate daily scheduling and zoning while maintaining direct selling payroll budget
Ensure daily stock guidelines are met
Perform opening and closing procedures
Uphold all company policy and procedures
Ensure daily adherence opening and closing checklist
Meet or exceed the store shrinkage percent goal
Uphold all company policy and procedures
Partner with Store Manager in the weekly cycle count process to ensure accuracy, integrity and procedural compliance
Manage and supervise Assistant Department Sales Manager in managing department process such as markdowns and transfers
Maintain all department communication boards including product, concept and trend information
