Joey Don Mills officially swings open its doors on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11 a.m. and is guaranteed to tantalize Torontonians with its original and addictive menu, an extensive wine and beer list, a signature cocktail line-up, and rockin’ music. It’s where West and East finally collide, offering Toronto’s discerning crowd the hippest new hotspot in town.

Joey Don Mills marks the beginning of a new era for the Vancouver-based company. Since launching its first restaurant in Calgary in 1992, Joey Restaurant Group has built a strong and loyal following with 18 locations throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Washington. With the opening of the 9,000-sq.-ft. Joey Don Mills Grill/Lounge, the company’s much-anticipated trek East is finally a reality.
The eclectic globally inspired menu stands conventional dining on its head, with an intriguing selection of sumptuous food globally inspired by celebrated chef Chris Mills – who has Bocuse d'Or and James Beard credentials and is one of only two Canadian chefs to appear on Japan’s Iron Chef. Chef Mills’ passion for travel is evident in every aspect of the menu, which boasts such signature dishes as Ahi Tuna Taco, Lobster Grilled Cheese, Bombay Buttered Chicken and Panang Prawn Curry Bowl.
In addition, sommelier Geoff Boyd has crafted an imaginative roster of signature drinks such as the citrus slush-infused Super Sonic Gin and Tonic, the Super Nova Vodka Soda and the Pomegranate Mojito. There are 15 beer varieties on tap and 14 offered by the bottle, more than 60 international wines by the bottle, and two dozen wines by the glass using the innovative Enomatic wine serving system.
