This week, the new 1,800-sq.-ft. Michael Kors store opened at Shops at Don Mills. It is the company’s third store in the Greater Toronto Area and its sixth store in all of Canada. Shoppers will find the full range of accessories from the Michael Kors, KORS Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors collections, with a selection of ready-to-wear pieces from MICHAEL Michael Kors. Fragrance, eyewear and other licensed product categories will also be featured.
“We chose Shops at Don Mills because of the urban village theme and we are very excited to serve its clientele,” says Debra Margles, president of Michael Kors (Canada) Co.
Michael Kors is recognized as a pre-eminent designer of luxury sportswear. Mr. Kors was just 19 years old when he began his career in fashion designing and merchandising a collection for the renowned Boutique Lothar’s in New York 
City. The clothes caught the attention of the fashion press, prompting Mr. Kors to strike out on his own. He formed the Michael Kors label in 1981. Since then, the jet-set sportswear designer has added accessories, fragrances, beauty products and a men’s collection to his many accomplishments and has an avid celebrity following.
