Shops at Don Mills proudly hosted North York General Hospital’s OrthoWalk on May 31. The symbolic 1 km walk around our Town Square drew over 300 participants, and raised an impressive $60,000 for innovative and compassionate orthopaedic care for our community.
“Shops at Don Mills was the perfect venue for North York General Hospital’s OrthoWalk,” said Mark Riczu, North York General Hospital Foundation. “What better place to organize an event devoted to supporting the community than in the Town Square—a public space that’s proving to be a hub for local Don Mills life?”
Patients, their families, surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists and community residents participated in the walk. Thanks to their pledges, the Foundation doubled its fundraising target of $30,000.
