Concert in the Square

Esthero

8:00 pm 

Esthero, the Ontario born singer and songwriter has been making a name for herself in both Canada and the United States, since the release of her 1998 debut album Breathe From Another.  Her trademark sounds is a sacred blend of jazz, hip-hop, soul, funk, and rock, Esthero became our best-kept secret.  She has released two full-length albums, including Wikked Lil’ Grrrls released in 2005 and collaborated with such artists as The Black Eyed Peas, Mos Def, Nelly Furtado and Sean Lennon.  The Canadian singer's upcoming third studio album Everything is Expensive is set to release later this year.

The Gabe Salem Band

Recreating the styling of 70's and 80's acts such as Peter Gabriel, the Beatles and Eric Clapton, Gabe Salem and his band are an absolute delight to audiences.

Julie Crochetiere is a singer-songwriter, who explored pure pop in Sugar Jones and soul- jazz on her solo debut, and is now creating contemporary soul with a dose of cool, club and sex appeal.


Hayley Sales 

7:00 pm - 7:45 pm

Vancouver based singer songwriter Hayley Sales, creates music that clearly resonates with a wide variety of audiences.  As an advocate for oceanic and marine life preservation, this folk-pop singer’s infectious performances take the audience on an inspiring journey that brings awareness to the pressing issues at hand. 



Steven Page

8:00 pm - 9:10 pm

After twenty years as the lead singer and songwriter of Barenaked Ladies, numerous Juno awards and two Grammy nominations, Steven Page left the band to pursue a solo and theatrical career.  He released The Vanity Project in 2005, composed music for numerous Stratford Shakespeare Festival productions and is slated to release his second solo album later this year.  Join us as Steven is back on stage playing a mix of familiar old favourites and new material.

 

Aggie Hogg Gardens and Throughout the Shops

Throughout the day, our street entertainers will be wandering the festival all afternoon, delighting children of every age.

 

Community Share Food Bank - Don Mills 

12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Community Share Food Bank - Don Mills will be accepting food and monetary donations.  For every dollar raised Shops at Don Mills will match.

 

The Birds of Prey Show

12:30 pm, 2:30 pm & 4:30 pm

Come meet some of the most fantastic creatures on our planet!  This is your opportunity to get up close to these amazing birds and learn some interesting facts. Some of the birds you may meet: Turkey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Great Horned Owl, Peregrine Falcon, and Red Tailed Hawk.

Hands-on children’s environmental science workshops.


Face Painting for the Kids

The Don Valley Stompers 

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

The Don Valley Stompers are a lively seven piece jazz band known for engaging the audience in the music  often clapping, shouting, and singing along.


The Tavares Quintet featuring Liz Rodrigues 

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

From world music to high energy dance material including cover tunes, R&B motown and soul music from the 70's, 80's and 90's, this 5 piece Toronto band performs music that will appeal to a wide range of audiences and age groups.
